• A CLASS OF ITERATIVE METHODS WITH CUBIC CONVERGENCE TO SOLVE NONLINEAR EQUATIONS
Abstract
A new family of methods of third order is developed. Starting with a suitably chosen, the methods generate a sequence of iterates converging to the root. The efficacy of the methods is investigated with a number of numerical examples. It is observed that our method takes less number of iterations than Newton’s method and some known third-order methods.
