MHD Flow of a Conducting Visco-Elastic Rivlin- Ericksen Fluid through Porous Medium in a Circular Duct Due to an Impulsive Pressure Gradient Acting at the Central Part of a Section
Abstract
Abstract
The purpose of the present paper is to study the unsteady flow of a conducting Rivlin-Ericksen visco-elastic fluid through porous medium in a circular duct due to an impulsive pressure gradient acting at the central part of a section. The analytical expressions for velocity profile and the flux have been obtained by using the transform technique. Some particular cases have been discussed in detail. The Rivlin-Ericksen fluid reduced to purely incompressible viscous fluid as a limiting case and corresponding results for velocity and the flux can be obtained.
