• ANALYSIS OF EFFECT OF TIME ON THE SKIN FRICTION OF AN INCOMPRESSIBLE FLUID OF SECOND ORDER TYPE BY CREATING SINUSOIDAL DISTURBANCES ON THE BOUNDARY
Abstract
The effect of various flow entities on the skin friction on the bounding surface has been analyzed extensively in this paper. It is noticed that, as the angle of inclination increases, the skin friction is found to be periodic and sinusoidal. Similar such effect is noticed even when the visco elasticity of the fluid is varied. Also, as the porosity increases, the skin friction increases upto a certain time and there after it decreases. Further, it is observed that, for a fixed time, as the frequency of excitation increases, the skin friction also increases. All such effects have been illustrated through the graphical representations.
