• SORET EFFECT ON UNSTEADY MHD FREE CONVECTION FLOW PAST A SEMI-INFINITE VERTICAL PERMEABLE MOVING PLATE
Abstract
This paper deals with the study of soret effect on unsteady magnetohydrodynamic free convection flow past a semi-infinite vertical permeable moving plate. The dimensionless governing equations are solved numerically by a finite element method. Computations are performed for a wide range of the governing flow parameters, viz., the thermal Grashof number, Solutal Grashof number, Hartmann number, Permeability parameter, Prandtl number, Eckert number, Schmidt number and Soret number. The effects of these flow parameters on the velocity, temperature and concentration are shown graphically.
