• VARIABLE PREDICTION USING DATA ENVELOPMENT ANALYSIS

Abstract


Simple formulae are derived to estimate potential revenue for a given target cost and potential inputs for given target revenue. Using these expression input losses are estimated for the total manufacturing sectors of 14 Indian states which account for 85 percent of country’s total value added. The total manufacturing sector of all India is considered as a DMU to estimate the structural efficiency.
