Abstract

Let be an alternative s-Unital ring. In this paper we show that if satisfies (i) , then the set of nilpotent elements forms an ideal of with and , for all and .  Also if a subdirectly irreducible ring with 1 satisfies (i) and (ii) , then is a local ring with radical and is a finite field.  We use this to prove the commutativity of an alternative s-unital ring .
