• CHEMICAL REACTION AND THERMAL DIFFUSION EFFECTS ON MHD FREE CONVECTION FLOW PAST A SEMI INFINITE VERTICAL PERMEABLE MOVING PLATE
Abstract
The present work analyzes the influence of a first-order homogeneous chemical reaction and thermal radiation on hydromagnetic free convection heat and mass transfer for a viscous fluid in the presence of thermal diffusion and heat generation. The plate is assumed to moves with a constant velocity in the direction of the flow. A uniform magnetic field acts perpendicular to the porous surface which absorbs the fluid with a suction velocity varying with time. The dimensionless governing equations for this investigation are solved analytically using two terms harmonic and non-harmonic functions. The effects of various parameters on the velocity, temperature and concentration fields are presented graphically and discussed qualitatively.
