• THE INSTABILITY OFf NATURAL CONVECTION OF A ROTATING VISCO-ELASTIC FLUID LAYER WITH ONE RELAXATION TIME

Abstract


The convective of horizontal layer of viscoelastic dielectric liquid (Oldroyed fluid) heated from below and rotating about a vertical axis in presence of an electric flied and thermal relaxation time are consider. Linear stability theory and normal mode analysis are used to derive an differential equation of tenth order, and exact solution for netural instability is obtained.Critical Rayleigh numbers and wave numbers for the onset of instability are presented graphically as functions of Taylar number for various values of the elastic paameter, and relaxation time at a constant value for Prandtl number .
