• POSITIVITY-NEGATIVITY AND EMBEDDING THEOREMS FOR ELLIPTIC SYSTEMS

Abstract

In this paper we study embedding of a non co-operative elliptic system into a cooperative elliptic system and positivity of a solution. Using the results of Figueiredo and Mitidieri, [1], we slightly modify the Theorem and obtain positivity-negativity Theorem. In section 3, we obtain a Theorem for positivity of a solution of non co-operative elliptic system by embedding it into a co-operative elliptic system. Section 4 deals with positivity of solution of higher order elliptic equations. This work is the extension of the work of Figueiredo and Mitidieri,[1].
