• OPTIMIZATION TECHNIQUE BY MODIFIED VOGELS APPROXIMATION METHOD FOR SOLVING SUPPLY-DEMAND PROBLEM

Abstract

Transportation problem is a well-known topic and is used very often in solving problem of Engineering and Management Science. In this paper, a new method, Modified Vogel’s Approximation Method (MVAM) is used to solve the transporting the items form cookies and confectionary stockiest to the retailers. Further, comparative study among the new procedure and the ot\her existing procedure is established. The procedure for the solution is illustrated with a real valued problem.
