• PERISTALTIC MOTION OF A FOURTH GRADE FLUID THROUGH A POROUS MEDIUM IN AN ASYMMETRIC CHANNEL UNDER THE EFFECT OF A MAGNETIC FIELD

Abstract


In this paper, we studied the effect of magnetic field on the peristaltic flow of a fourth grade fluid through a porous medium in an asymmetric channel under the assumption of long wavelength and low Reynolds number. Series solutions of axial velocity and pressure gradient are given by using regular perturbation technique when Deborah number is small. Numerical computations have been performed for the pressure gradient and pressure.  The effects of various emerging parameters on the pressure gradient and pressure rise are studied in detail with the help of graphs.
