• AXISYMMETRIC HYDROMAGNETIC TWO-PHASE IMMISCIBLE VISCOUS FLUID FLOW IN AN ANNULAR DUCT UNDER A RADIAL MAGNETIC FIELD

Abstract


In this chapter, we consider the flow of two-phase immiscible circular coaxial annular duct under influence of a radial magnetic field. We assume that one of the viscous phases is conducting and a study of such a system is useful to determine how a non-conducting fluid affects the motion of a conducting fluid under the influence of a magnetic field. The exact analytical solutions are obtained for the axial velocity in both the phases and their behavior with references to the magnetic field parameter namely the Hartman number is computationally discussed. The shear stresses and the flux of the two-phases have also been discussed.
