• MASS TRANSFER EFFECT ON A FREE CONVECTIVE VISCO-ELASTIC FLUID OVER AN INFINITE VERTICAL POROUS PLATE WITH VISCOUS DISSIPATION

Abstract

An unsteady, two-dimensional, hydromagnetic, laminar mixed convective boundary layer flow of an incompressible and electrically conducting visco-elastic fluid (Walters fluid model) along an infinite vertical plate embedded in the porous medium with heat and mass transfer has been studied, by taking into account the effect of viscous dissipation. The dimensionless governing equations for this investigation are solved analytically using two-term harmonic and non-harmonic functions. The effects of the physical parameters of the problem on the analytical solution of the momentum, heat and concentration equations are discussed. Our observation is in good agreement with the previous work pursued by Poonia and Chaudhary [1] without elastic parameter ( ) i.e in case of viscous fluid.
