• NON LINEAR BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM IN IRREVERSIBLE SECOND–ORDER HOMOGENEOUS REACTION

M. Uma Maheswari, L. Rajendran*

Abstract

Theoretical analysis corresponding to irreversible homogeneous reaction on finite-layer diffusion impedance is reported in this manuscript. It is also relevant for solid electrolytes and membranes. The non-linear coupled system of diffusion equations were analytically solved by using Homotopy perturbation method. Herin, we report the approximate analytical expressions pertaining to the concentration of solute , product and the reactant for small values of diffusion and kinetic parameters. The numerical solution of this problem is also reported using Matlab/Scilab program. Also we found excellent agreement between the analytical results and numerical results upon comparison.
